About the SFPD Ingleside Station
The Ingleside Police District encompasses the area south of Cesar Chavez Street to the San Mateo County line and west from Highway 101 to Faxon Avenue. It is home to the San Francisco City College campus and many diverse residential neighborhoods including Sherwood Forest, Mt. Davidson, Glen Park-Sunnyside, Diamond Heights, Bernal Heights, Upper Noe, Mission Corridor, the Excelsior and St. Francis Wood, St. Mary's Park, Visitacion Valley, Precita Park, Cayuga, Outer Mission and Holly Park.
The Ingleside Station, located just off Balboa Park, is a Spanish-style, stucco building with big arched doorways and a terra cotta-tiled roof. It first opened in 1910 and was renovated in 1991. It includes a one-story annex with a large community room used for public meetings. This station is part of the San Francisco Police Department's Golden Gate Division.

Meet your Station Captain – Amy Hurwitz
Ingleside Station Captain Amy Hurwitz has had a vast career, which includes serving as a patrol officer in the Tenderloin, Richmond, and Ingleside districts, and later as a plainclothes officer at Ingleside Station. She was promoted to sergeant, working at Central and Southern Station, before being chosen to lead a plainclothes/counter-terrorism team for MUNI, ensuring the safety of SF transit users. As a lieutenant, she served at Northern Station and was then picked to be the officer in charge of police services at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. Additionally, she was the lieutenant of the SFPD Marine Unit and the lieutenant of the Homeland Security Unit. Captain Hurwitz is dedicated to protecting and serving the Ingleside community and being a guardian for the people of San Francisco.
