Sergio Chin

Captain Chin has a strong conviction to this profession, uncompromised integrity, and desire to continually evolve within a changing landscape.  Captain Chin have spent most of his career working in the Field Operations and Investigations Bureau which have provided invaluable experiences.  He has worked in various neighborhood Stations such as Southern, Bayview, Ingleside, Northern, and Tenderloin. Captain Chin also spent many years in the Investigation Bureau including General Work, Night Enforcement, Vice Crimes and Night Investigations.  Being a Chinese immigrant who was born and fled Mozambique during the revolution, he grew up in a multi-cultural environment with family speaking mostly Portuguese, Spanish, and Cantonese  He believes that collaborating and understanding the needs of our diverse communities and department are key components necessary for our success.
