SFPD's Response to Ms. Kelly O'Haire Lawsuit

Today the Department learned that Ms. Kelly O’Haire, a former employee of the Department, has filed a complaint against the Department and the Chief. We have reviewed the complaint and find it to be without merit.

Following the appointment of Chief Suhr in April 2011, in order to close a budget shortfall, a reorganization of the Department was completed resulting in excess of $1 million in savings. Several positions were eliminated, including that of Ms. O’Haire, as well as the reclassification of top command staff.

As this is pending litigation, there is no further comment at this time.
