SFPD Statement on Explosions in New Jersey and New York City

The San Francisco Police Department is closely following developments regarding the explosions that occurred  Saturday morning  in New Jersey at the Seaside Semper FIve 5K marathon and the explosion that occurred this evening in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. Although there are no known threats to San Francisco, SFPD has increased uniform high visibility presence throughout the city. We are working with our allied law enforcement agencies and we are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activities; if you see something, say something.
