SFPD Make Arrest in Tenderloin District Homicide

On September 29th, 2016, at 12:59 AM San Francisco Police officers responded to the 400 block of Ellis Street in the Tenderloin District regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, 44 year-old San Francisco resident, Shunsie Ellis laying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. San Francisco Fire Department Paramedics responded and rendered aid, but unfortunately Ellis succumbed to his injuries at San Francisco General Hospital. SFPD Homicide Investigators commenced an investigation that led to the identity of the suspects. On March 11th, 2017, at approximately 12:22 AM SFPD Officers from Tenderloin Station located and arrested 41 year-old, Darrick Devereaux, and 22 year-old Linda Jimenez, both Stockton residents, at O’Farrell and Jones Street. Homicide Investigators then executed search warrants at locations in Stockton, California. The search recovered three semi-automatic firearms and 1 assault rifle, along with close to a quarter pound of suspected narcotics. Deveraux was booked for Murder, three counts of Attempted Murder, and multiple narcotics related charges. Jimenez was booked for Accessory to crime and multiple narcotics related charges. Deveraux and Jimenez were both booked into San Francisco County Jail. Due to pending identification matters, the subject’s photos will not be released at this time.
