SFPD Make Arrest in Tenderloin District Homicide

On December 29th, 2016, at 5:14 PM San Francisco Police officers responded to the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, 39 year old, San Francisco resident, Laurice Barrett laying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics responded and rendered aid, but unfortunately Barrett succumbed to his injuries at SFGH.

SFPD Homicide Investigators commenced an investigation that led to the identity of the suspect. On December 30th, 2016, at approximately 5:17 PM SFPD and Oakland PD officers located and arrested 29 year old, Stockton resident, Elian Abdallah in Oakland, CA. Abdallah was charged with murder and booked at the San Francisco County Jail. Due to pending identification matters, the subject’s photo will not be released at this time.
