SFPD Make Arrest in Essex Street Homicide

On November 24, 2014, San Francisco Police responded to the unit block of Essex Street and discovered Gary Mulhern deceased inside his apartment. The Medical Examiner was called to the crime scene and determined that Mulhern’s death was suspicious in nature.

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Homicide Unit were notified and began investigating the circumstances surrounding Mulhern’s death. The investigation revealed that Mulhern had been murdered during the evening hours of Friday, November 21, 2014.

On Friday, November 28, 2014, members of the Homicide Detail arrested Antonio Dupree of San Francisco for the murder of Mulhern.

The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office has charged Dupree with first degree murder and burglary. Dupree’s booking photo is attached to this press release.
