SFPD Expands Homicide Detail To Focus On Cold Cases

The San Francisco Police Department this week welcomed the return of a veteran Homicide Unit Inspector in response to recent requests by San Francisco community members for additional resources to help solve cold cases.

“Our department is committed to solving these cold case investigations and we are making the best use of our resources,” said SFPD Interim Chief Toney Chaplin. “We are bringing back experienced, knowledgeable veterans whom we hope can help bring these cases to a conclusion with an arrest and successful prosecution.”

Members of the public with information regarding homicide cases are asked to contact the Homicide Detail 415-553-1145, the Anonymous Tip line at 415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the text with SFPD.
