On Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 7:11 p.m., San Francisco Police Officers were patrolling the area of 3200 20th Ave when they were flagged down regarding a subject with a firearm.

Officers canvassed the area and located a male subject matching the description provided by security. The male subject and an additional male subject began to flee from officers. Officers provided commands to the suspects, which they failed to comply with, and a foot pursuit ensued. Officers detained both males without further incident.

Through the course of the investigation, officers developed probable cause to arrest two juvenile males.

One juvenile male was cited for resisting arrest (148(a)(1) PC) and openly displaying an imitation firearm in public (12556(a) PC).

The additional juvenile male was booked into Juvenile Justice Center (JJC) for resisting arrest (148 (a)(1) PC) and carrying a concealed firearm (25400(a)(2) PC).

Due to the officers’ swift actions and effective collaboration, these weapons were recovered, and further crimes were prevented.

Although arrests have been made, this remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
