Oakland Resident Arrested for Shooting at San Francisco TJ Maxx
San Francisco Police investigators have arrested Henry Smith, 29, Oakland resident for Attempted Murder, Robbery, and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon related to a shooting victim from last week.
On June 25th, 2014 at approximately 9:20PM, San Francisco Police Officers responded to the TJ Maxx Store on the 800 block of Harrison Street, in the City’s SOMA neighborhood. Officers located the victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to the groin area after he chased after a suspect who stole his phone. Responding officers rendered aide while an ambulance was called to the scene.
Criminal Investigations Unit Investigators responded to the scene and immediately began an investigation. Numerous investigative leads led to Smith’s arrest and was taken into custody on July 2, 2014, without incident, in the area of Leavenworth and Ellis Streets in the Tenderloin District. Smith was booked into County Jail for the above charges.
The investigation is on-going and investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information regarding this case.
