Egg Hunters' Paradise at Bayview Playground Marks a 20 Year Anniversary

The San Francisco Police Department, SFPD’s Operation Dream, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, the San Francisco Housing Authority, San Francisco Fire Fighters Union Local 798, and the Public Housing Tenants Association are partnering to provide an Egg Hunters’ Paradise in the Southeast section of the City at Bayview Playground located at Third and Armstrong Streets. This egg hunt is free and is open to boys and girls 10 and under. This event will commence rain or shine on Thursday April 2, 2015, 11:00AM to 2:00PM. There will also be free recreation swim in the Martin Luther King Jr. Pool located on the premises of the playground. Eggs, surprises, special guests, and a celebrity, known as last name, “Bunny,” first initial “E.” will be making a cameo appearance and will provide Golden Eggs for this important and historic egg hunting frolic.

The San Francisco Police Department and the Board of Directors of Operation Dream will be commemorating 20 years of service to the boys and girls of the City’s public housing. Through the efforts of the SFPD and Operation Dream hundreds of thousands of eggs have been given out to boys and girls in partnership with hundreds of bunny helpers over two decades. “We at the San Francisco Police Department are committed to providing fun, safe, and exciting family events for all to enjoy. For the past 20 years, we have been partnering with Operation Dream and other city agencies to host this annual egg hunting event. We look forward to seeing the many smiles this event brings and will continue our commitment to make a difference in the lives of children in San Francisco for many more years to come,” said Chief of Police, Greg Suhr.
