The month of June and first week of July has been an incredibly busy time for Central Station with numerous events, including a visit by The President of Germany. With a lot of planning and good fortune the events have been successful with few criminal incident and from a public safety standpoint.
The 64th Annual North Beach Fair was held in the Central District on Saturday, June 16th through Sunday, June 17th. Approximately 30,000 people attended this event over a two day period. Numerous officers from Central Station were assigned to the event to assist with providing a safe environment for families and visitors attending the fair. There were two reported incidents that occurred during the event: An assault with minor injuries and vandalism incident with approximately $1,000 of damage to a booth. No arrest has been made in either incident.
