The Central Police District includes several high profile areas for commerce and tourism, and is home to many vibrant residential neighborhoods. The Central District is also includes several of the most iconic and historic landmarks in San Francisco. The District comprises of the entire Northeast waterfront area of the City, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Embarcadero, the Ferry Building, North Beach, Chinatown, Financial District, Union Square, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Telegraph Hill, Coit Tower, “Crooked” Lombard Street, the Transamerica Building, and the Broadway Corridor.
According to San Francisco Travel, approximately eighteen million tourists visit San Francisco annually! Most certainly these visitors make their way into the Central District to sightsee, eat, and play.
